“Freeze Up”
The full moon provides plenty of light on this chilly night in Cooper Landing . The ice fog was rolling off Kenai Lake and it was evident that something spectacular was going on . I’ve heard of watching “Paint Dry ” and personally could not imagine anything more boring .It was early in the evening and the sun was now replaced by a full moon on Kenai Lake as the lake was literally freezing from side to side . When the sun arose , what little sun we have in December, the open water in this picture was replaced by frozen ice . “Freeze up” on December 11 would be remembered by this image for many years to come
